HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas carried out one of the most difficult and demanding projects that have been done in Greece. It is the new football stadium and historic home of AEK Athens, Agia Sophia Stadium, located in Nea Philadelphia.

The HUB team undertook the technical support and implementation of the lighting. More specifically, they supplied all the luminaires, as well as the central management system for them. The selection of the luminaires was based on consistency in terms of the study data and finding the best economical solution of cutting-edge technological products. A series of sample tests were carried out in order to select the best lighting solution.

Other factors that had to be taken into account for the specification of luminaires were their compatibility with the BMS management system, which manages the stadium operations as a whole, and their availability according to the construction schedule.

The safe operation of the field, the lowest possible energy requirement of the equipment as a whole, easy installation of the materials and reduced maintenance requirements were the main guidelines.
