Ostria Resort & Spa Hotel, which belongs in the 5-star hotel category, is located 104 km from Heraklion, at the village of Katharades in Ierapetra, Lassithi. It is a place of relaxation, rest and tranquillity designed for the discerning traveller! It has 330 rooms, 7 à la carte restaurants, 4 bars, a fitness centre, a market square with shops, a café, a church, a newly-built reception area, parking space, tennis and football courts and a luxurious spa. Reflecting the island’s hospitable character, the hotel offers high quality facilities and services that aim to meet every need!
HIGH AESTHETICS, WELL BEING DESIGN
The hotel’s lighting upgrade was based on three pillars: the harmonization of old and new buildings, the total energy upgrade of the hotel and, finally, the effort to achieve a complete result in harmony with the surrounding area and based on the guests’ needs.
The HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas team, with respect to the surroundings and the architectural lines of the hotel, drew on their expertise, inspiration and enthusiasm and proceeded with the following upgrades:
Both in the hotel’s rooms and in the common areas, special lighting fixtures were designed to respond to specific needs but also to highlight the style of the overall design.
HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas provided a complete solution to the hotel which included lighting, switchgear and panels (switchboards).
A special mention should be made of the design, construction and supply of a Low Voltage Main Distribution Board of the Artu-K series by ABB, the supply of Medium Voltage Switchgear of the Unimix series by ABB, the design, construction and supply of Low Voltage Sub Distribution Board of the Artu-L series by ABB, and the supply of two ABB 800kVA oil-cooled substations. It is important to mention that all the above product solutions are of a high technological and safety standard and have full type and series certificates.
