Architects, Lighting Designers, and Leading Suppliers Gathered at the Award-Winning HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas for a Dialogue Centered on Light
With the participation of renowned lighting brands such as ARKOSLIGHT, INTRA LIGHTING, and ZUMTOBEL, as well as impressive side events, the second Lighting Design Week successfully concluded at the HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas, in collaboration with Design Ambassador, from December 12th to 16th.
The goal of this exclusive event was to offer an exciting experience in the world of contemporary lighting, highlighting the inseparable connection between architectural form, everyday life, and light.
A large number of architects and lighting professionals attended the workshops, immersing themselves in a unique journey through the world of light. The event concluded with inspiring talks by distinguished experts in the field — architects, designers, lighting designers, and representatives of leading lighting manufacturers.
Thematic Sessions
12.12 | Light Directionality
Speakers: Dr. Aris Tsagkrasoulis, Physicist and Professor, Dept. of Architecture, University of Thessaly; Dr. Stelios Zerefos, Architect and Professor, School of Applied Arts and Sustainable Design, Hellenic Open University (HOU); and Dr. Lambros Doulos, Physicist and Associate Professor, HOU.
At the same time, ARKOSLIGHT presented Residential Lighting and Hospitality, emphasizing light as a fundamental element in creating welcoming environments that inspire relaxation and delight.
14.12 | Museum Lighting
Speakers: Anna Smpokou, Principal Lighting Designer at ASlight, and Erato Koutsoudaki, Museum Exhibition Designer.
The session sparked a highly interactive discussion, as the audience showed great interest in this complex and crucial area of lighting application.

15.12 | Façade Lighting
Speakers: Aris Klonizakis, Lighting Architecture Studio (LASt), and Thodoris Makridis, Architect and Partner at MAKRIDIS ASSOCIATES.
Simultaneously, INTRALIGHTING initiated discussions on Office Lighting and the timely topic of Energy Saving in Workplaces.
On December 13 & 16, the Open Days took place, during which visitors had the opportunity to tour the HUB’s spaces guided by its specialized team, and to interact with light itself — experimenting with reflections, color, CRI, and directionality in the specially designed lighting zones.
