In Chania’s HUB, lighting is the dominant element that leads the visitor to an experience in order to discover not only luminaires, but also different aspects, values and a wide range of applications. It’s about a united space with dividers made of grey cement mortar that delimit the secondary spaces. The doors and separate rooms are absent, a fact that gives a continuous flow, which unites all the spaces harmoniously. Wooden blinds are a dominant element that gives intimacy and warmth to the space, and an interesting play with light as well.
HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas in Chania, is staffed by mrs Maria Papadaki/Lighting Area Specialist, while it is a “simulation” of the central HUB of Ilioupoli. It includes all the spaces we find in the central HUB, but on a smaller scale, which makes it a complete space despite its small size. Specifically, there is a corridor that simulates the experience room, a combination of meeting area with outdoor lighting stands, stands with technical features such as CRI, color temperature, exhibition stands with various luminaires, an office and a display of distribution boards.
