Make Art from Trash: An Exhibition of Young Creators with a Powerful Message at the HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas in Chalandri!
In celebration of World Environment Day (June 5th), the HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas in Chalandri is proudly hosting a unique exhibition, the result of a creative competition that reached children across Greece and Cyprus. In the heart of a space that integrates sustainability into its architectural design, selected artworks from the “Make Art from Trash” contest are now on display.
The “Make Art from Trash” initiative, organized by the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) department of KAFKAS, aimed to ignite children’s imagination and raise awareness about the value of recycling. Using only recyclable materials collected from their household bins, young creators from across Greece and Cyprus crafted 38 imaginative, inventive, and eco-conscious works of art.
The exhibition takes place inside the HUB’s showroom in Chalandri, a sustainably designed space made from recyclable cardboard, where architecture and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. The space utilizes natural light, smart energy systems, and features clean, organic lines that serve as flexible exhibition zones.
Although the contest initially promised to award three winners, the creativity and ingenuity of the entries led the KAFKAS team to honor eight standout creations for their originality and clever use of materials. Still, every participating child received a collector’s certificate “Super Ambassador by KAFKAS” and a commemorative gift as a token of appreciation for their contribution.
This joyful exhibition reinforces the identity of the HUB Lighting & Innovation by Kafkas as a living hub of knowledge, innovation, and environmental awareness. By opening its doors to the next generation, the HUB takes on a new role . Educational, collaborative, and deeply engaged with the community.
We warmly invite you until 15th of June to visit the HUB in Chalandri, explore these small yet meaningful masterpieces, and leave inspired by the optimism and creativity of our young artists!
